About Us

The Security Awareness Company, originally known as Interpact, Inc., was founded in 1990 by Winn Schwartau, who has been intimately involved with information security since 1984. We offer a wide range of information security services for today’s organizations, governments, commercial and educational.  The Security Awareness Company (SAC) has and is continually providing choices to a well-rounded approach to information security services, policy development and security awareness education and training for 15 years.  SAC can assist you in securing, protecting and maintaining your information technology systems and their integrity of client and proprietary resources.

Our mission is to focus on the people, not the technology.  As part of our mission statement, we believe that Security is really about empowering employees to stick with their organization’s goals, helping them understand the risks and vulnerabilities in the workplace and educating them on what they can do to make information security a priority

Unlike most other organizations, we come from security and have extensive experience and credentials.

WINN BIO .

We have performed security awareness training and education for audiences around the world, with an emphasis on the financial and government sectors. The company founded InfowarCon, creating a popular international forum for the converging security concerns of business, government and law enforcement.

We believe that security awareness is best achieve by engaging the audience, (technical, managerial or user) in entertaining and interactive materials. One of the most effective means we have developed to get active user participation and support is by making security very personal. Educating staff on protecting the personal lives of their families makes for a simple translation to import corporate policies and procedures.

Through a combination of vibrant graphics, messages, repetition and “Security Branding”, we have developed comprehensive content delivery mechanisms and awareness assessment tools that encourages accurate measurements and compliance.

SAC maintains extensive relationships with security experts in all disciplines around the world, and has used them in other security awareness programs when needed, from HIPAA to SarBox to GLBA &  ISO 799 and other compliancy guidelines and mandates.

Our complete team is comprised of multi-disciplinary people including instructional design, training consultancy, project management, creative design, technology support and industry expertise, enabling us to give your organization the broadest range of learning solutions and services.
